Hello from Holland

Postby Kinara » Fri Jan 02, 2015 9:42 pm

Hi Guys,

New to the SCAA and I hope not to late to the party.
My name is Antonia, over 21 ;) and I live in Holland. I've been a SciFi fan for as long as I can remember, growing up with Star Trek and playing space games as far back with my Commodore PC.
I heard about the SCAA through Nikki and her fantastic, informative and entertaining videos on YT.
Looking for a large enough Organization that is able to pull the necessary resources, while keeping a friendly family feel I am pretty sure this is the place to be.

Hope to see, greet and meet you all in the Universe!

Blue Skies!

Hi Kinara! Welcome aboard. Always nice to have another member who remembers the good old days of computing when discs were floppy. :)

Yeah those were the days ...
I had a Commodore so besides floppies I could record my programs on cassettes.

Cassette! I think I only ever tried that one time, with a TI 99/4a. I think it worked, but it also kind of pointless since it was so slow. Of course, I had yet to serioursly get into programming at the point.

Welcome Kinara. :)

Sorry for the late reply, kinda been away from the PC a lot for quite a few months. I hope you enjoy your time here.

Between Mom (Nikki) and Big Sis (Eris), we do kinda keep the family feel going. :) Just beware of Shank, he's like the mischievous little brother who will happily put a big spider in your underwear draw. ;)

Welcome to the fun house!

I'm not sure how I missed you beginning post, so it is a late welcome.

Sounds like my sister. She's so scared of them she ends up shaking and crying in a corner after they have been killed. Before that she is in a pure panic.

Welcome to our little corner of the funny farm, Kinara.

As you're old enough to drink alcohol here in the US our butler will be around shortly to offer you a tasty beverage. I recommend the Glenlivet 27.
