Woo! Eris isn't bored at work. Need to put that in the diary.... lol

I love it when I get something interesting that engages my brain. More addictive than heroin. :)

I'm in a meeting right now. I'm bored. I'm quietly watching cute animal videos. Here's a cat door fail.

I'm fairly certain that my 60 hour work week after decades should allow me to claim more experience than my career length.

Suddenly, random scene from an obscure movie made by famous people!

Dark Star is a comedy sci-fi movie about some guys sent out to blown up unstable planets so no one accidentally colonizes them. It was made by some unknown people named John Carpenter and Dan O'Bannon who a few years later made a little movie called "Alien". In fact, the beach ball creature in Dark Star was the original inspiration for Alien, though it morphed quite a bit to get there.

Yes, and no. It's kind of slow, and I wouldn't say it's drop dead hilarious. Part of the problem is that it started out as a shorter student film and then got padded out with extra scenes to make a feature film release. The extra scenes end up adding nothing.

But it's got some really memorable stuff in it, like talking to the bomb, and the beach ball alien, and identity crisis of "Sgt Pinback".

I'd recommend watching it if you can find it for free or cheap, but I wouldn't suggest putting any great effort into finding it unless you are just a big John Carpenter fan and want to see all of his stuff.

What's the best thing about living in Switzerland? Well, I'm not sure, but the flag is a big plus.
