LOL! The Joys of multiple SSD's...

Postby Captain Glume » Tue Apr 07, 2015 5:04 pm

So. Here I am with my "dedicated" 250gb SSD for Star Citizen almost full...

"What?, how can this be? Sure sure I have both live and PTU installed, but FULL?!?!".

Checks the drive... "Ahh I see, I installed fraps, and KSP on the same drive. Those are small."

Checks some more. "Hmmm, something doesn't seem right, is my SSD actually a 120gb?"

Starts doing Property checks on each folder... "What the blinking hell!?! Fraps is 123GB's!"

Goes folder by folder in Fraps... "Holly hell, the day after I installed this SSD I was testing fraps. Somehow I enabled the screen video record and recorded myself doing nothing... 120gb file in the Movies folder!?!?"

So there you have it. Half of my drive has been used from day one on nothing important. LOL...

Suddenly I have lots of room on my SSD and life goes on.

The moral of the story? Check your installs for useless junk... :|

Either that or you just remembered to delete the folder with all your porn in before the wife finds it. :D

Na, the Dr.s porn folder is much much larger then mine... We also have 12TB of server space for that stuff.
