Pledging is the Wallet Killer
Pledging is the wallet's little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my Pledge.
I will let it pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the Pledge has gone there will be ships.
Only I and my ships will remain.

Yeah the Litany hasn't worked very well for me. Real life situations have been the only reason I've missed ships I wanted.
