I'm still looking into pedals and a good mounting system for my x55.

Currently using the top 4 way stick on the right side of the throttle for left, right, up, down strafing and bottom thumb rotary for forward/back strafing.

Almost the same for shield management except top thumb rotary for top and bottom shields and the hat on the stick for left, right, front and back shields.

I think I need to come up with a better solution for strafing as with these settings I can't strafe at an oblique angle as it stands now.
AEGIS - Gladius, Retaliator, Vanguard
ANVIL - F7C-M Super Hornet, T3A Gladiator
C/O - Mustang Delta
DRAKE - Herald
MISC - Hull A, Hull B, Star G
ORIGIN - M50, 350R, 325A

I use the same setup for strafing. I'm not sure there's a better way to do it on the X55 though, unless there's a way to make the little mouse stick below the E button work as a thing for strafing.

I can't figure out how to make that little stick useful... It would be handy for something...

So did anyone else drool over that monster Apocalypse Arms gatling cannon they showed on the ATV art sneak peek?

I really hope that fits on the Hornet's wing hardpoints. I think I might forgo putting Panthers on there in favor of those beasts

I sure did :)....

I am normally a energy weapon type player but I will admit to the satisfaction of firing off a heavy projectile weapon. They are immensely satisfying no matter what the game.

Agreed. I was originally planning to go quad Omnisky VIs, with two Panthers. But I may keep my quad Badgers and pick up either a pair of Mantises or two of those big Apocalypse Arms guns. I may wait until UEC melting happens to make my decision. Also depends when/if that Apocalypse gun enters Voyager Direct.

Also, since Apocalypse Arms is shortened to AA, clearly they should be our weapons manufacturer of choice!

Is anyone else having issues with their missiles? I've been using different kinds in Vanduul Swarm and the accuracy has gone WAY down, even against easy targets like Scavengers. My Rattlers are missing regularly, and the Thermyte TaskForce EM missiles, which were formerly very accurate against Scavs, are now little more than expensive fireworks. I agree missiles shouldn't be silver bullets, but this is ridiculous.

I've noticed this behavior. The way I've worked around it is to launch when they're less than 1000km distance from you, and either coming at you head on, or when they're a touch below and just ahead.

Not sure why this works but I'm having more success with it than anything else.

Gladiator default loadout doesn't seem to have the same issues. It's definitely the Rattlers that are most affected. Probably due to the staged breakout of the multiple mini missiles.

I actually had better luck with the rattlers than I did with the Taskforces. I scored all of one measly hit with those. Rattlers at least managed to score some actual hits.

On an unrelated note, I think I may try the Tarantula Mk III cannons on my SH later. Might have to burn me a little REC I think. I like the Mantises, and I'd like to see if it's any more effective than Broadsword (which was terrible last time I tried it).
