Glume,

I talked briefly about this with Bats last night. I believe the Royal Guard is to be 4 Hornets and two combat Connies, with security division owning and maintaining the ships. This is of course subject to the Queen's approval and/or desired changes.

As for the pilots, Bats is still interested in doing a Royal Tournament to determine The Enablers' "Best of the Best" to be on the Royal Guard, which I'm prepared to start setting up. I'll email you, Anatine, and Shank when I get back from work, and we can start hashing out the details, which I will then post on the forums here once we have a solid idea for how we want to run the tournament.

Being neutral is fine, but sometimes having squadrons on the offensive is handy to get the message across "Back off"! :D

The Enabler polecy can be friendly and neutral.
It will need / have all brances for it to substain itself.
Having a military branch with diffrent squadrons is a must.

Ok, that sounds ok. Are we talking Connie Andromedas (They have the most firepower and flexibility?)? And are we talking Hornets or Super Hornets?

I want to work out costs on these so I can present it as a POI to your document.

Capt. Glume, sir.

You do realize that Pappy necro'd this thread, right?

Granted it wasn't completely decomposed dead, but it was partially decomposed dead.

If it was partridge, it would add to the flavour (apparently...).

Well, as Einnyen pointed out, I posted that before there even were Connie variants haha. However, coming back to the discussion, I think there are better options now for dedicated combat ships. A pair of Vanguards would be a good alternative (to buy in game, not with real money), or if we want to go more gunship instead, a pair of Redeemers would offer heavy turreted firepower on a purpose-built platform.

As for the Hornets, I would assume Super Hornets. We have a zillion of them, they're tougher than the base model, and come with a jump drive by default. A Tracker might be useful, but we could always ensure that one of the Super Hornets is equipped with the long look radar.

Edit: Now that I look at it, the Connie Andromeda actually can carry more missiles and larger turrets than the Redeemer. It has more powerful engines, but is twice the weight. Maybe there will be a combat modification to make a Connie a bit more combat ready. Either way, I think we'll want to test both ships out in AC 2.0 before we decide which ones would be best for the Queen's Guard.

HEy i'm no necromancer.

I already requested formaly for a squadron in the Enablers by mail to Queen Nikki.
ref: Formal request to the Queen for a new SCAA ENABLERS squadron.

Do unlike the other squadrons the Black Sheep Squadron is an Offensive MARINE space aviator squadron.

Background History:

VMA 214 Black Sheep Squadron, is a Marine Fighter Squadron.

V.M.A. Valor Marine Attack fighter.

Its Main roll is as a Strike Squadron, Aggressive flying style and Strike force.

VMA is highly focused on being D' primary strike force,

wounding and weakening the enemy’s frontline for the full assault to follow.

The Squadron is a seek out and destroy force with no regards for spoils of war.

The Enablers Black Sheep, mainly fly the Vanguard deep fighters to hit with brute and heavy force.

They are also trained in the medium and light fighters should the Organisation be under attack.

The Black Sheep will hit hard, hit fast with no retreat.

Unlike other Squadrons the Black Sheep are the brawlers and have an offensive style of flying.

Get the mission done no matter the cost.

The VMA 214 was named after the VMA 214 Black Sheep Squadron a WWII squadron led by Major Greg Boyington.

The VMA 214 ENABLERS SQUADRON was formed on 2945-02-24 By the Queen Nikki “Batgirl” D’Angelo on the request from Capt. Greggory “Pappy” Boyington.

The Enablers needed a squadron that was on the offensive and very aggressive .

The Black Sheep in and out of the cockpit are fighters.

Their ships are painted black with the squadron insignia on the ship.

Recently a pirate force tried to attack the in construction space station of the Enablers Organisation.

The Queen send out a transmission of two words to the Pirate Leader “Baa Baa”!
The Blach Sheep Squadron launched and decimated the pirate force, suffering no loss.
