I wonder how the per instance limits could be used to our advantage. Suppose the limit really is 30. Then form a convoy of 30 ships and everyone make sure their preferences are set to maximize the chance of being put in the same instnace. After all, org mates get priority over others for instancing.
Behold, you now have a convoy that is virtually attack proof because no pirate will be able to join your instance.
Until you jump, that is. Now each of you will be entering the new system - and a new instance - separately. You could get split up by that. It's till going to be worth experimenting with.

Split instances sounds like a grammar issue.

Convoy:
I think with big Haulers you stay within the UEE space Maybe 2 superhornets and 2 Vanguard as escort
Superhornets for close dogfighting
Vanguard long distance pounding weakening them for the hornets.
Hull D or E for mining
and 2 Orion ships
Its should still bring in a nice little proffit for everyone.

After seeing the super sexy shots of the Vanguard ships, I definitely want to put some space miles in flying one of them in a convoy.
