As much as I respect Mumble for being open-source, TeamSpeak its currently the best free option for this kind of thing in my experience.

If we're going to switch to anything else, it should be Raid Call!

But that is what we just switched away from. Too many people had trouble with it.

Ah. Sorry. I'm having a long day - and night - at work and my brain is a little fried.

Last time I checked (which was admittedly a few years ago), I couldn't find a way to self-host a Ventrilo server; only rental services. TS3, on the other hand, offers free licenses for up to 512 users (plus, from a personal perspective, I've already got two TS3 servers I regularly lurk on, so this would keep me from having to run a separate program just for SCAA :P ).

The only Discord I'm familiar with is this one. :P

I'm obviously refering to this discord
https://discordapp.com/
the same discord that test squadron seems to use...

Is anyone else having trouble connecting to the mumble server?

I have just reinstalled my system and, therefore, mumble, but it won't connect to the server.

Code: Select all

[01:50:59] Server connection failed: Connection refused.

Who have I pissed off? And will candy make things right? :D

Working fine for me.

That said, as much as I respect Mumble for being open-source, both of the two other SC orgs I'm part of have moved to Discord, and (while there are a few small things that bug me), I'm rather liking it. Might I suggest the Enablers consider doing the same?
